Mysteries of the Deep

Hey kids, what do you think is the unexplored part of our planet? It is not the depths of the rainforest. It is not the scorching desert. It is not even the frozen Arctic wastes. The unexplored parts of our planet, our oceans! We are hidden just starting out, realize what an incredible secrets of the deep, dark water.

Our oceans is a major part of our planet - more than 70% of the earth's surface is covered by them! They help to control the temperature of thePlanets dominate the weather, and are home to millions of living beings.

The deepest part of our planet is the Mariana Trench, near Japan and the Philippines. At it's deepest point it reaches 10,924 ft (or 6.78 miles) deep. That is, if you were taken to Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth, and glue them to the lowest point is the trench, it would still be more than 2 km of water on top of it!

Fortunately, scientists have invented special lowWater Research cameras and vehicles that reach out into the cold, dark, high-pressure world of the deep sea. And what are we going to discover is that these dark, deep, freezing water filled with creatures. Go down deep enough, and the animals find they look like aliens from another world, it is the discovery of these strange creatures that science is fun!

Set at the bottom of the ocean, with cold black waters stranded around you. Suddenly you see a lightWobbling around in front of you. They are drawn to, and wonder if maybe it is something good to eat. You can not reach ... and finds himself face to face with a razor-sharp teeth, swallow! They have met just a monkfish.

An angler is a hunter, looking for his body disguised as the bottom of the ocean. In the middle of his head, a long tentacle is filled with a sack at the end with luminous bacteria. The angler fish is hiding on the seabed and rotates on its tentacles.Unsuspectitng fish are attracted to the worm like tentacles, thought it might make a tasty meal and Snap! They are from the jaws of the angler's chomped like a mouth full looking knife!

Have you ever seen the little gray pillbugs that you can find in the garden? They look like little gray tanks and armored roll up into a ball when they are threatened. Now on the bottom of the ocean, you can find an animal that looks like one of those pillbugs - only that it's overa foot long!

But one of the most feared creatures in the sea is the famous giant squid. For many years people thought that the giant squid was only a legend. Then began the whale watchers marks on the sides of some whales regard as they would with a suction cup that was the size of a dish has been caught! Finally, the corpses of some squid washed up on the coasts of Newfoundland and Squid went from science fiction, science fact! You can have up to 13 meters long, andevil robbers, catching prey with the serrated suction cups on their tentacles, and devoured them with their sharp beaks.

Even if we think we've explored the planet, we've really only scratched the surface. There is a time to explore the whole world under water!
